Editorial Policy
How Credlyze researches, writes, checks, updates and corrects its financial education content.
This policy describes how Credlyze produces and maintains its articles. We have written it to describe what we actually do, and we will update it if our practices change.
Purpose and Scope
Credlyze publishes general financial education about credit cards, personal loans, personal finance and banking, primarily for readers in the United States. Our content is informational. It is not individualized financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and it does not take into account any reader's personal circumstances.
Research and Sources
- We prioritize official and primary sources for facts about laws, consumer protections, deposit insurance, fees and interest. These include the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Federal Reserve and Investor.gov.
- Each article lists its references at the end so that readers can consult the original sources.
- We do not invent statistics, interest rates, quotations, studies or expert opinions. When we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out or describe the concept without a number.
- Where rates and fees vary by lender and over time, we avoid presenting a specific current market rate as fact. We use clearly labeled hypothetical numbers to explain how calculations work.
How Articles Are Produced
Articles are prepared by the Credlyze Editorial Team, a publication byline rather than a named individual. The drafting process uses AI writing assistance. Drafts are then checked against the official sources cited in each article, and the worked examples are recalculated to confirm the arithmetic. The byline does not imply that any author holds a professional license, certification or credential, and we do not claim any.
Checking Before Publication
Before an article is published we check that: key factual claims match the cited official sources, calculations in examples are correct, U.S.-specific rules are identified as such, the article contains an educational disclaimer and internal and external links work.
Updates
Financial rules and products change. We intend to revisit articles when we learn that a cited source, law or product feature has changed and when readers report a problem. Each article shows the date it was first published. We do not display a “last reviewed” date unless a review has actually been carried out.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error or outdated information, please tell us through the contact page, and include the article title and, if possible, a link to an official source. When we confirm an error, we correct it and, for material changes, we note the correction on the article.
Editorial Independence and Advertising
Our editorial content is written independently of any advertiser or partner. Credlyze does not currently display advertising or have commercial partnerships with financial product providers. If that changes, we will disclose it on our Advertising Disclosure page, and advertising will not determine what our articles say. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of a specific product.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not rate or recommend individual lenders, cards or banks in our current articles.
- We do not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials that were not written by real users.
- We do not present marketing claims as facts.
Educational Disclaimer
Nothing on Credlyze should be treated as financial, legal, tax or investment advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. Consider consulting a qualified professional about your situation, and confirm current terms directly with providers.
